Pioneers - Please weigh in on new feedback feature!

Hi Pioneers - We started to think that the first paragraph of feedback, called “Overall” feedback was too dense. Not really student-friendly.

We thought about piloting this new structure:

  • 2-3 sentences max intro + praise
  • 2-3 bullets of strengths
  • 2-3 bullets of next steps
  • 1-2 sentences to close

I’ve attached a screenshot sample of what that could look like.

We think that’s an improvement, but would love to hear from you.

Is this a helpful way to introduce the feedback to students? Would you recommend any changes?

Are there any ways you would love to see this adapted for different assignment types?

Excellent structure! It’s clear, actionable, and student-friendly. I love the punctual format. For young students, adding light visual elements like ✓ for strengths, :play_button: for next steps, ★★★★☆ ratings or emojis (:rocket::light_bulb:) could increase engagement and reduce text density, perfect for Gen Z attentions. Even progress bars or mini-badges for gamification! As a user of active methodologies and gamification, it’s something I’d like but I understand it’s not for all audiences . It’s not necessary to overload, maybe 1-2 visuals keep it formal but motivating.
